Expected to launch this August, the new Uber service will initially be limited to 20 boats. It will cover journeys up and down the River Thames, from Putney to Woolwich, with bookings grated via the app and QR Code. The company has clarified that it will be charging passengers the same price for booking a boat as it did for the cabs. It also noted that it will be following all possible hygiene and social distancing norms in line with the pandemic.
