Since Concord resigned in 2004, the flying industry and its fans have been energetically anticipating the return of supersonic commercial aircraft. Several companies are assiduously working to make that dream come true, including Virgin Galactic. They displayed the primary set of plan renderings of a commercial aircraft that can fly at speeds higher than Mach 3 (3,700 km / h). In any case, the modern era of planes is making a quantum jump towards hypersonic flights that will be altogether speedier than supersonic ones and be able to reach the edge of space. And whereas it took Concord less than three hours to cover the distance from London to New York, hypersonic planes will be able to do the same in 60 minutes or less. The British airline, Reaction Engines, is creating an extraordinary engine that will turn hypersonic flying into a portion of our reality. A hypersonic engine called SABER (Synergetic AirBreathing Rocket Engine) employs a combination of hydrogen and oxygen as its fuel. Concurring to the claims, the engine can create a top speed of Mach 5.4 (6,450 Km / h) inside the Earth’s atmosphere, whereas it can reach up to five times the speed of Mach 25 (30,500 Km / h) in space.
